You have some really great work I really like alien head with the red rectangles over the eyes. I was wondering if you could post more pictures of the alien base mesh you showed in one of the post Iām strugling to create my own and I thought being able to use some images of yours might help me along.
Thanks gang!
wdcstudios -Iāll get on it as soon as I get back home. Iām heading over to a friendās house to pick up some artwork but when I get back Iāll find what youāre talking about and post it for ya.
Something I did after waking up this morning (still lots of work to do on it):

Thanks, I like the masive forarms on the new model.
Hey, hereās a link where you can get a human model similar to my guy for you to use and study:

I figure thatād be better than a bunch of pics, yes?
Edit: Thanks for the kind words about the new model! I hope it looks good once I wrap it around the turtle looking dude.
Thanks this will help me alot also thanks for showing me a new site.
Damn dude! Your like a freakin machine! All these awesome models so quick. Where do you find the time? Keep 'em comin. By the way the goat eyes would look cool in that other creature from earlier. Cheers.
Thanks! Yeah, I have to go back and get those eyes done, lol. I just havenāt taken the time to do that - too many ideas in my head for other things. I will do it though.
Hereās an update for ya.
Oh my! Whatās this?! Clothing? how bizarre. Anyone whoās seen my models knows itās the rare one that is clothed. Mostly because I didnāt take the time to try and partially because I like posting anatomy studies so I can find out where Iām going wrong. However, as cool as naked people are, they sadly arenāt walking around us everyday so I figured ābest to start putting cloth on them bare bottomsā.
So, I tried it out. Not really pleased with it yet but Iām still learning (thatās my excuse for the next two weeks anywayā¦after that, I wonāt have any). So let me know what ya think. Iām going to try a belt with a few pouches and scabbards and stuff. Man, itās so much easier drawing it with a pencil and paper than it is doing it in 3D! lol. Anyway, like I said, critique away.
Cool character. I like his face. Reminds me of a koala bear. Not sure the clothing goes with it though? But lets see where you go with it
Thanks! Brett, thatās called āno planningā. lol. I was winging it but the idea was to do some psuedo swashbuckling-helmet-wearing-sword-carrying-thingie. Didnāt work out. Heās back in the buff now.
In the meantime, I did plan something out. A tribute to one of my fav artists:

Can you guess my inspiration? Anyway, her face is coming along slowly. Iām going for a bit more square jawed faceā¦sort of like that actress with the excessively long name that played in Robin Hood: Prince of Theives.
Added some colorā¦
haha. Cool man. Sounds like me and my planning. haha. Hmmm⦠I really canāt guess who it is yet. Sorry. Lookin cool though.

Thanks. The inspiration for the woman was an illustration by Jean Giraud. I canāt recall the name of the image itās fromā¦I think it was part of his Airtight Garage. Anyway, hereās a new one. This is going to be a model of a super hero a friend of mine came up with. Itās posed asymmetrically, so I have to sculpt it asymmetrically despite the model itself being symmetrical. Thatās the one thing I miss from Mudbox (I tried the demo before getting ZB3).
Minor updateā¦
Played with his colors some. Still a belt some hair and eyes to doā¦eyesā¦havenāt seriously tried that yet in ZBrush 3.
By the way, this is my first ever (practically finished) asymmetrically sculpted model. I usually do most of the sculpting symmetrically and then go back to change things up. This time, I had no choice but to do everything on the fly. It was fun!
Cool. I know what you mean about assymetrical sculpting. It would be cool to be able to place your points where you want them. Ah well. Dig the pose and the feel of the fabric on the character. Maybe his ass could be a bit bigger? Really lookin forward to see where you go with this. will he have some sort of mechanical arms or does he have no arms?
Thanks! Well, halfway down his forearms, he has mechanical gloves but I donāt think Iāll be adding them to this model. Maybe in a later model of the same character though.
WE HAVE SYMMETRICAL PAINTING ON ASYMMETRICAL POSES! YAY! WOOT!
Iām so bloody happy I could pee. So what do I do with this awesome power? Not much yet. lol. Iām kinda nervous about it and donāt want to find itās not working well, so my poses arenāt terribly extreme yet. give me some time thoughā¦
Hereās a full body WIP of Omni-Man from the Invincible comic by Image Comics.
Some really great stuff here! I am just starting to learn zBrush to add to my modeling skills during my last 3 semesters at school and I hope I have something close to what you are doing for my demo reel⦠really nice!!
Thanks! Some updates.
