looks to good
is that posable ?
wohooo cal! really great work! model things from pictures is a really hard work you know the final model but you need to be really good using modeling tools. You got it! congrats man!
Heres another one I did. This one is a little simpler. More of a caracture feel to it. I was getting a little bored with the subject (half way through a kickass idea for my next peice hit me)
So this will probably be the last update. It’s nothing too special; but it’s good enough for now
Wow Caliban thats fantastic, keep up the good work!. Eagerly anticipating your next piece =).
Excellent work Cal! Love the skin textures.
That is some of the best realistic modeling I’ve seen-- I hope you return to this!
Awesome work, Cal
stargo
Exellent work Cal !
Lookin forward 2 see this baby finished!
Nice, Caliban! I, too, would love to see you return to this at some time in the future. But what you have here is a very nice combination of modeling and texturing. Good work!
Looks great so far…cant waite to see it finished.
Thanks for all your kind words guys. I just may get back to this project afterall. I might do a whole scene next time
Great work Cal.
Hope we can see the completed image sooooooooooon
If I may ask another question. I was wondering; is there a way to change the actual length of the hair. There probably is a really really simple way that I am just overlooking but I cant seem to find out how anywhere. Any ideas?
Hiya Cal,
Both pistures are very very nicely done
About changing the length of fibres, change the depth on the draw panel.
Hey thanks for the tip
Well after thinking about it, I played around a little more with the image.
This is very very far from done. There’s a lot more needed before I’ll be satisfied with the image. The modelling all needs tweaking, the armor needs more detail etc etc. But for now; here’s what I’ve been messing with.
Hey guys, I have another question. Is there anyway to combine two ZBR documents without replacing the tools again etc?
Since adding hair flattens the image, and it can’t be saved to the ZTool. It’s a pain to have to re-do the hair every time I want to change somthing on my model / image.
I wanted to combine this character into another scene with a few more characters; is there an easy way to do this without having to re-do the hair and use photoshop layers etc?
Thanks
Cal you don’t neccessarily have to flatten the image to add the hair. Try using the hair on the image but turn the ZAdd on. Use small settings…a little dab will do ya. Also you can export the image into Photoshop, create another layer in ZBrush, turn off All the other layers, then import the photoshop image you exported and FILL the new layer with it. Dup the layer and now you can experiment all you want without worrying about messing up the other layers. As far as redoing the hair…yeah you will have to redo it everytime you want to move the objects around. No way around it. By the way…nice armor!
Ok thanks man for your help. I really should prepare myself before I get into the guts of a peice =P
Wow Dark! Thsi is turning out to be a fantastic piece! Well modelled and the armour is great!!! Carry on… can’t wait to see the finished image.
I’ve been following this one from the beginning and not posted anything. Bad habit of mine. But now that youv’e completed it I wanted to say how well you ddepicted the ape. I’d have to say he’s pretty much a dead ringer for a ape man(or man-ape). And more than that he looks just like the one in the pictures you supplied. I have to say that I thorougly enjoy watching you work.(I can’t actually “see” you work but your posting in stages helps. And the finished product is always a pleasantry to view.
