Plane Projection like in zbrush 2?

Alright back in zb2 you could drop your model down with projection master, add a plane with a texture, turn off z-add and switch to RGB. Then it would over lay your plane/texture on your model yet still give you the ability to edit it with the move.

Is this still do able in zb3. I can do everything but actually edit my plane when I switch in to edit mode. It seems to only be editable where the mesh intersects your original model.

Am I missing a step or was this changed? Zproject is just a pain in comparison to the other work flow.

Make the Plane3D into a polymesh by pressing the Tool>MakePolyMesh3D button.

Image Plane 3 will set this up automatically:

  1. Drop your model in PM.
  2. Press the LoadImage button and select an image.
  3. Edit Move mode is automatically selected and you can position your image on your model. Switch off Edit and switch on Move or Scale (gyro) to move or scale the whole image.

The mesh is actually a polymesh the problem seems to be that you cant edit your plane unless it is intersecting with your other mesh in RGB.

I hadn’t seen the Image Pane plug, it dose the trick. Thanks marcus
