Plane 3d not rendering normal in ZB 4.0

Like the title says, the plane 3d tool (yes, after polymesh conversion) does not output any normal information when I hit ‘create normal’.
I’ve been through this process enough times now to know I’m doing the right thing (even check in version 3.5 which was fine - AND imported it to 4.0 to try my luck). I’ve imported a correctly uv’d poly plane from Max to try that way and still no joy. Has anyone else had this problem and can help me out please ? I’m guessing right now its some kind of bug :frowning:

It’s because you don’t have a proper UV map assigned to the Plane. Use UV Master plugin to assign a good UV map.

Thank you very much for this. I’d assumed I could get the same results by using the default mapping (planar) tool under the UVMap rollout. That just didn’t work at all. Again, Thank you very much for your help :slight_smile:
