**** Pixologic Release: UV Master (WIN & MAC)

video buffering … cant wait … need now

just gave it a run using only the default settings and it works great! I brought the .obj into modo (just for a check) and on a whole body mesh there was only a tiny sliver of overlap. Other than that, just awesome!

Brilliant, just Brilliant…

Change of plans - Looks like I’ll be spending the next couple of days learning UVv master! Awesome guys Thank you - much needed.

This plugin seems extremely useful, I plan on using this for my next project. Great update! Thank you Pixologic!

Dang!
Thank you Pixologic this looks revolutionary for UVing!
This really is becoming an all in one modeling package
This plugin makes one of the the most painful and boring parts of
the 3d process a breeze
Amazing!

i was just planning on learning how to do UV’s.

So what’s the catch? can someone who knows UV editing really well tell me is this too good to be true, cause to me it seems damn awesome.

well I did just one quick test on a head and it’s really impressive and intuitive! Awesome plugin :+1:

This is something that i always wanted to read about UV’s!! to see and now to make the UV’s !!! Works so perfect :'D!, THANKS ONCE AGAIN GUYS!

Thats fantastic, thank you. Tested it on a decimated model!!! Now thats sick. It worked perfectly. Thank you again.

This is gonna make things so much easier Thank you Pixologic:D

F*cking incredible. My greatest headache on 3d world is gone. Thank you Pixologic, this is a company made of dreams… that come true!

man i feel like i should give u guys a freeby of some body part . Thanks so much

This is awesome

The good thing is that you can uv almost anything.
The catch is precise loop selection on a retopoed model and
not many abilitys to straighten uvs.
So its definatly more for artist  which is good is guess :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Well I’ve put it through a head, hands and a really funky mesh on one of my models which took quite a long time to cut properly in uv layout and I have to say - wow - I would have saved a lot of time. The Ambient occlusion control’s magical - really great job Pixologic.

I was hoping you guys would come up with an easy way to do UVs. This looks great and very easy, Thanks to everyone at Pixologic.

how do you show the checker board with the number in your models?
can anyone tell me?

@gbendana: Just load them up with Lightbox. Zbrush folder/Zstartup/Zplugs

Or copy them into your Texture folder.

disco stu, as i said i don’t know uv’s too well but after just playing with it, you can select loops by polygroups right? and you can use transpose and all the brushes to move/straighten, you can even go into projection master and paint on the texture then pop out again.
please let me know if i misunderstood you, thanks for the response too!
i unwrapped a few things, one was a simple picture frame which was the first thing i tried uv’ing in another package, took me hours, in zbrush now with polygroups took less than a minute.

Aaaagggghhhhhhhhhh! I just spent 300 on UV layout.

Don’t worry, UVLayout is is like the surgeons knife for this kind of thing and a lot more. It’s a tool you won’t regret having in your toolbox, trust me.
