Well I guess I don’t need UVLayout any more. How are you guys able to give this stuff away for free. All other software companies should take some lessons from you. You have me as a hardcore supporter for that alone. Free and worth so much more then the competition… I actually feel guilty.
LONG LIVE PIXOLOGIC
wow ! well done, and thank you !!!, pixologic
thank for not making us mac users jones for this feature
I agree with RubberMonster, these plugins alone can each cost a fortune indiviually and they would still be worth it , but the best part is that you guys give all these plugins for free! No wonder you will have so much support
Thanks again!
PIXOLOGIC ROCKS!!!
U guys are so so so awesome…
SHAME AUTODESK SHAME
I think to recover from this massive blow autodesk will start selling softwares on easy instalment schemes…hehehehe
Why isn’t there a new version of Zbrush 3.5 for the Mac??? This is a great plug-in, but are you not getting it? Stop working on little extras and give us the same options the PC people have!!! Plug-ins are not the priority the Mac people are asking for.
This UV Master is a Godsend! It would be great to have a retopology tool that was this simple to use. Hint Hint!
Sagiarts, if Autodesk every buys Pixologic (and it is possible) I will drop ZBrush like a hot potato. Pixologic, please never sell out to Autodesk. They already have enough of a monopoly!
pg
Pixologic will still be selling Zbrush to new users and this helps to keep them in business. There may come a day when everybody that’s interested in ZBrush already has a copy and that’s when Pixologic will be forced to charge for updates.
It’s probably credit to their marketing and the mass appeal of sculpting programs that’s helping them to sell new copies. Whereas programs like Maya are just too geeky to ever have mass appeal regardless of the price. So companies like Autodesk have no choice but to charge for their upgrades.
Also, the fact that Pixologic isn’t currently charging for updates helps to encourage people to buy ZBrush.
That’s not to say that they’re not awesome. Some companies will take any opportunity they can to squeeze their customers for cash. Pixologic are obviously more interested in making cool software than money.
Thank you for breacking down barriers!
Wow - stunning plugin. Everyone in my art cube is making ooh ooh noises.
Only slight problem I’ve had is the protect seems sort of hit or miss? e.g. I’ll paint a face of a model, hit unwrap and end up with seams across it? Aside from that though - it’s fantastic! The density options in particular are genius and the packing results very very good.
Asyme: if you paint all your face and for technical reasons it have a tunnel inside let’s say the mouth, or if you are spiting by polygroups, UV Master may have the obligation to add a seam to create an unwrap which doesn’t have overlap.
Without a screenshot, it’s not easy to reply. I invite you to post a message in the support forum about that
That’s awesome! You always are amazing me. Downloading and testing! Thank you!
I 've always supported the idea that the developers working for Pixologic, must be, or must have been abducted by aliens at some point…
THANK YOU PIXOLOGIC SPECIES FOR THIS WONDERFUL GIFT TO HUMANITY!!!
oh wow so great wowwy. now how about fixing the f***ing lazy brush .I am sick and tired of losing my work
You keep being pioneers in evolutionary tools, you keep seducing the whole community of digital art, you keep being an ideal standard for software developers that Autowreck will never reach! Hats off guys and gals!
this is pretty amazing stuff. did a few tests on a fairly high poly humanoid model and the results are fantastic, the symmetry works great…i’m seriously impressed.
the only problem i’m having is that when i pop between protect, attract, and erase modes it seems to arbitrarily decide to delete the painting i’ve just done and return to a previous state. i can’t really figure out the exact behavior, but it seems to be happening fairly often. perhaps i’m doing something wrong…it’s brand new, after all.
in any case, well done pixologic. very well done.
sinfully delicious… yes mmm yes
This is so fun I love it.
Now C’ya!! Im off to perform further hybrid zany experiments with uv master and Headus uv layout and see what mad creations I can splice together just for kicks Mawhahahahah
i’ve already given thanks, but need to again–for the ability to copy and paste UVs between models of the same topology. i’m so glad i don’t have to import and replace my base mesh anymore, or store a morph target, just to acquire preexisting UVs (which sometimes causes issues stepping up in resolution if something has been moved the slightest bit). So, THANK YOU, AGAIN!!!
its awesome, thanks Pixo guys! I hate LightWaves UV maps…this solved ALL that! Exported OBJ, made UVs in Z, exported back to OBJ for Lightwave, made my some maps in Photoshop…nice! Long way around…but super sweet! Good sign of things to come in Z4!
OMG OMG OMG, this is awesome!!
Thank you Pixologic!
