Installed/uninstalled ZHelp many times, verified existence of ZHELP folder inside of ZBrush3 folder…
When I try to activate HELP there is no activity… suspect faulty HelpBrowser.zsc file…
Please advise.
regards,
William

Identified Firefox as my default web browser and now HELP fires up as expected with no problems!
What do I need to do to allow for useage of IExplorer???

I would also like to say “Thank you” for making these available to us all.
How ever I cannot watch (or download, because that would be ideal!) the workflow from Zbrush to Max.
Is there a reason why we can’t download any of these tutorials, is it a bandwidth thing?
Not complaining, just asking.
Thanks again.
(Well, it’s a late reply, but in case it helps someone else … )
I had the same problem last night, after installing the new help system, and even after re-running the install and selecting the “repair” function.
It turned out that my system still had the older version of the HelpBrowser.zsc from August 2007 in the ZBrush3\ZData\ZPlugs folder.
I deleted that particular zsc file, ran the repair install again, then the new help system worked.
BTW, thank you, Pixologic team, for the time and effort to put that information together!
Can i make a suggestion, it seems many new users run into problems with some of the concepts of zbrush at the beginning. For instance, 2.5d, poly division smoothing over normal smoothing, dropping your model on the canvas and losing it, which things to save ala docs/tools etc.
What i think would be something that could be useful is what they employ in most video games, that is a tutorial that walks you through the basic moves/concepts while making it interesting. New users would have to complete this course to move ahead, then it could save a registry key or whatever so zbrush knows they finished it in the future.
I believe this would help many new users from becoming frustrated not to mention the board moderators as well.
P.S. some people don’t even know what polygons are so maybe that should be in there too.
Well, I had ‘similar’ trouble with helpfile system. It was not doing anything when I click ‘Help’ button.
Assuming repair installation would work as you described, I did run both 3.0 and 3.1 patch after deleting ‘HelpBrowser.zsc’
Then restarted ZB and clicked ‘help’ then it prompted following screen that request ‘HelpInfo.txt’ is missing, which I could not find.
I see normal mapping workflow for maya and max… any chance of a workflow tutorial for lightwave?
I grabbed them all… maybe a bittorrent download option for everything at nice would be nice, instead of users trying to make sure they are grabbing every file?
Numbering them would also be a nice enhancement… I can just play them in order of download now, but a numbered list would be easier for noob use.
