Thank you
Was working yesterday, today it will not load at all.
keleb78, wat2k and cubic: Thanks for the note. Can you tell me, is it the zclassroom at http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom that is crashing or is it the documentation in ZBrush?
Do you have the latest flash and quicktime players?
Best,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
I haveānt had crashes, the videos just would not open.
But Iāve just checked again all is fine now.
Thanks
the documentation is really good ⦠includes everything you need to get started with Zbrush and even more a lil bit ⦠i like how you included some explination about bump, displacement and normal maps theoreticly.
i am only wondering how come the image compression on some pages are kindda weak ?? the zmapper page for instance and couple of important images that has text in them, it is not that clear and i personally would love to enlarge the image once i click on it, just a suggestion, and maybe you can boost the tutorial secsion with some of the major zclassroom tutorials ( say maya/max to zbrush workflow for instance or basic stuff maybe) they doesnt necessarily have to be video files.
i didnt view all of the zclassroom videos to be honest but some of them, i like the zclassroom page interface it is very well designed, very user friendly and alot of materials that is really important to start with zbrush and more, i hope you guys dont mind users suggestions, it really helps to hear them and infact that is what iāve learned from scared silly contest, thanks alot and you are really rocking the industry with every next step you make.

Thanks for the update. I did notice a small lag for some movies. The servers may get hit hard at different times but we will look into it.

Thanks for the kind words. I hear you about some of the images and will work to improve them. Congrats on your Scared Silly thread. I really enjoyed the way you used ZBrush to create the mirror and other props.

Hello Ryan!
Thnx for the quick reply. I had almost no trouble with ZClassroom under Vista x64, apart from ZSpheres Tutorial, in which I can hear audio, but see zip.
The problem, Iāve described, I have with Help System. Tried to install it with administrator privileges, reinstall it, repair it⦠All for nothing⦠It just wonāt work. Under Vista x64 that isā¦
And yes, I have all the latest plugins installed (Quicktime, Flash etc.)
Best regards
Keleb
Wish all tutorials were like this! Just finished the āvaseā tutorial and learned a lot from this simple exercise. The narrator speaks very clearly and makes it so easy to understand every little step.
A big Thanx!
Thanks to Pixologic for the new help and the new classroom!
One question: Iām using the help with my default browser (Firefox). The ārollingā circle in the tab never stops to roll as if the page is still loading but the status line says āDoneā. Is that normal?
-Andrea
EDIT: Please ignore my question. The ārollingā circle stopped after some minutes.
I just got Zbrush 3.1 and I would like to thank the Pixologic team for ZClassroom. A great introduction to getting started in Zbrush and very well done! Please keep up the great work
Thanks Pixologic Team!
I also can not view the ZSpheres moviesā¦good audioā¦but no video. I have both a Vista 64 bit and WinXP SP2 system. Both have the same problem with that specific set of tutes. I have all my software updated (QT, Flash, IE, etc.) No joy.
I can view the rest of the videosā¦so it appears to be something specific with the ZSpheres tutes. Maybe a QT issue? When I click on the movie is prompts me to use Pro to save the videos, however, I am already running QT Pro 7.1.6.
Even with the issues with that one set of vidsā¦Kudos to Pixologic for supporting the ZB community!
Weāre looking into this with the ZSpheres movies. Thanks!
RThank you for offering a demo available for download.
Unfortunately all the videos in the ZClassroom crash all the browsers Iāve tried. Iām on a PC with the latest Quicktime and Flash and Firefox, IE, Opera and several of IE and Firefox derivatives.
Video tutorials are so much more easier to follow than reading documentation so if they were made available for download instead of only the online player (unless it doesnāt crash any more of course) I would appreciate it. Iāve seen other posts reporting the same problem so it must be something independent of the browser used to view them.
Thank you.
[[[CORRECTION - EDIT]]]
After reinstalling the latest Quicktime Player from Apple the tutorials play fine in Firefox.
Thank you!
We should have this fixed now so that it doesnāt occur with any more movies. Please let us know if it happens again.
well as where getting things fixed on the site your Geoff Campbell interview seems to be broken but your others are seeming to work rather well heres the link http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/trial/ just figured i would bring to your attention also. is there any way can move back to quicktime format for the videos i noticed some are quicktime (newer ones) and some are flash (older ones). quicktime seems to be easier to download then flash if we should want to save video content for later viewing and archiving? thanks for the off line documentation still do miss the zscript help though that was prevalent in zbrush 2 really went through everything thoroughly and concise great for learning what each new feature did.

My copy of ZBrush 3.1 is installed in C:>Program Files>ZBrush3 on my Intel Mac running XP 32-bit, instead of C:/Program Files/Pixologic. Iāve installed the new Help system to the correct file path, and there is a folder installed called ZHelp with all of its contents, but when I click on the Help button within ZBrush 3.1 a window pops up and asks me, āWhere do you want to move the file ZBrush_3.htm?ā If I move the file somewhere as the dialog asks, the Help button does nothing at allāeven after relaunching ZBrush. If I hit Cancel in the dialog a couple of times, the Help directory launches⦠but this method is annoying.
I donāt know if the directory for my ZBrush installation is causing the problem or not. Any suggestions?
At least it opens eventually⦠I canāt force it to launch at all
Hey, pretty cool idea you guys behind Pixologic Team!
I especially love the zclassroom and simple projects like āBuilding Vaseā and āCreating a swordā is kind of tutorials ZBrush needs⦠Like learning new features throught that feature oriented tutorial⦠Really adore it, and hope to see a lot projects like those twoā¦
Cheers,
