Maybe the lack of a report is a sign that they’re finishing up, and they’re not telling us so as to keep it a surprise.
OK, that was hopelessly optimistic. Never mind.

I wanna die… I look everydays at the post office if they have receive my Zbrush 2.5.And here at the Post office, all the people don’t know what’s Zbrush, they are all ignorant, and I wanna cry, but finally where’s this Zbrush… lost in space ?
I need to take some Xanax,to calm my nerve, and go sleeping all the day… bye :o :o
My guess is the long, long pregnancy will come to term sometime before the end of April, maybe even sooner. Source: Amazon.com

Please don’t use that as any sort of barometer regarding 2.5. It is an estimated publish date only.
In other words, the actual publication date will be driven by ZBrush’s development schedule; NOT the other way around.
My bad! (just being a cockeyed optometrist here Matt…)
Here Svengali grab my hand and let me pull you up.
I apologize if the comment I made last night (something along the lines that, if we hadn’t heard anything in a while, maybe they’ll surprise us with a release – nah, that’s hopelessly optimistic) was out of line. It did get deleted, but it got deleted along with all the Morse code silliness, so I don’t really know the reason. But I’m sorry if I caused any offense to the admins or developers; I was just making what I felt to be something in between a joke and an expression of faint hope.
(I’m an amateur programmer, so I kind of know how it is.)

They delete your comment and all the morse code but my fart in the face comment remains!:o
The fart lingers on!
I am glad they deleted the morse code stuff. Not respectful of forum.
I really hope the reason for the 2.5 delay is that Pixologic has got something revolutionary up their sleeve, like Zbrush being the first 3d app to walk on the moon or something. If it is a bug they just can not squash then I commend the fact the have not put it out for the users to deal with, but if is something stupid like they are waiting for some convention to make an announcement that is going to bunch my underpants right up my rear!
At least you guys are playing with 2.0. I still have not purchase anything because this will be my first step into big boy territory and all the stuff I am checking out are involved in updates. I just can’t bring myself to commit until all is revealed so the best choice can be made.
Yes I know that Zbrush is a different animal then Lightwave. I want them both! I can only get one so I wait to see all! This waiting is driving me nuts!
There is one thing that I think would be awesome; Animation via Zbrush. I do not think it should be included in Zbrush for those who do not have interest but a separate app that plugins into Z!
CALL IT ZANAMANTION!
Now that would be Zbrush on the moon and beyond!
Funny isn’t it 8-). I bet they are all waiting on each other to drop the flag. Like prairie dogs. Modo 201 out? no… Hm… ZBrush 2.5 ?? nope not out either… let’s peek into the Lightwave den… sigh… nothing either… In the end a press release will tell us that ModZwave 1.0 is replacing all of them hahahaha.
Or everybody is waiting for the guy who wrote that essential library two years ago which all of them bought lol.
Lemo
If the wait goes on too long I am just going to buy XSI or Cinema 4D, then add zbrush later, buy then it should be out.
gottsbett, before you understand C4D, maybe the update is there.
OH Poop, Another One.
A few months ago, someone suggested that Microsoft was buying Pixologic. Last week, they said Apple. Neither make a whole lot of sense, as business decisions go. What strategic advantage would those companies gain?
Both rumors gave me a chill, though. Because there actually is a plausible candidate, and they’re just cut-throat enough to make the offer.
Electronic Arts.
Biggest game publisher on the planet buys next generation software for proprietary in-house use, cancels 2.5 release and gains huge advantage over all competitors.
Hell, they own RenderWare now. It could totally happen.
Won’t, though. I don’t see Pixologic agreeing to any deal which restricts the growth of their product into new areas – folks come up with new uses here every day, and I think that’s a lot of what keeps the team motivated. They obviously care about the community too much to screw everyone over like that…
Pixologic would never let such a thing happen. Way to cool of a company
Plus Renderware is still available to developers and with decent support. So its not like EA swallows everything they acquire and don’t let any one else use it.
