ZBrushCentral

pixels, lack of detail

Hey, I’m just learning how to use this program for my uncles business, they want me to transfer some jewelry designs into the program so they’re machines can make them.

I’m using an old laptop with vista on it to learn it so far, but this thing kept happening were the model I’m sculpting becomes very pixelated, and by the time I’ve worked it for a bit I can’t make out any details. non whatsoever, just big pixel squares.

does anyone know what may be happening? and how i can stop from doing so?

thanks everybody

I’m not positive, but from what you are describing, maybe the model has been scaled down way too small, and zoomed in on the viewport. Try clicking Alt-F to resize and center your model. You might also try Unify in the Tools:Deformation pallette.

If this isn’t the issue, then I have no other ideas. Maybe you can post a screenshot?

what is the subdivision level?

you were right about the model being scaled down to far, thanks.

but now this is happening, even after i initialize zbrush.
what is it? and how do i correct it if its not right?

thanks.

oh ****, never mind i just figured it out. sorry for asking stupid questions guys, thanks so much for your help. have a good one

No stupid questions… we’ve all been there
