Pivots

I have a question about workflow.

When I bring multiple objects from a software like 3d max into Zbrush I either: a) Export these multiple objects individually from max, using Subtool Master to Multi Append - (Would prefer a way to batch export from max that really works with STM) or b) Export multiple parts as a single object from max into Zbrush as a straight tool palette import. Question is.. If I pose a wristband with multiple parts on the arm, so it's local pivots are offsetting a world axis; when I bring this into Zbrush, the symmetry and alignment is tilted. Turning Local Transforms and Symmetry On does not fix the problem because in Front, Side views the object is still rotated on the angles it was positioned in World Space or on the character's arm. I'd like to import an object and direct it in local axis, so shift snap recognizes local front and sides as well as symmetry. Any help, or need of further clarification? Thanks a lot.
