Hi everyone! This is a stylized pirate chest I did during my first year at school! It was my first model in Zbrush. In the beginning it was pretty stressful, but as soon as I got used to the shortcuts and some brushes, it was super fun!
We had some freedom as regards to the concept, so I decided to give it a more realistic look.
I modeled the chest and sculpted the octopus in Zbrush. Then I did the retopo of the creature in Maya and the textures in Substance Painter. In the end I set up some lights for a dark mood in Maya and rendered the scene in Arnold.
