I thought I’d create a cute cyder-girl character, just for a bit of fun, partly inspired by a recent trip to Japan. I intend to place her in a scene…possibly with the obligatory 20 foot robot guardian or something. Might re-design her costume a little too -add some dirt etc. Modeled in zbrush, textures in zbrush /Photoshop, rendered in mental ray (plus a little post-work in photoshop also)

Are you a fan of Chris Sanders’ stuff? Her proportions and “squishyness” of expression reminds me of his sketch work, that’s not to take anything away from your own talent, just something that hit a note with me.

Captain Howdy: Thanks a lot. I wasn’t too familiar with Chris Sanders name, although of course i did recognise much of his stuff. Yeah gotta love those squishy proportions, although I didn’t set out with any particular style in mind (I just tend to push and pull things around until I get something that feels right).

Bezoetdebie: Cheers. The head textures were originally polypainted and i used a fair bit of polypainting to rough out the rest of the costume, before tidying and tweaking in Photoshop
