Here’s my rendition of this wooden boy.
(This is the part when he turns to a boy.)
All done in ZBrush. (except for the “pixie dust”)
For detail suckers…

P.S. i love those overals. they look real!
saint do you have a script that you could share with us on one of your pieces?
Very nice, Saint!
I love the nubbly, in-scale texturing…
About the ‘pixie-dust’…Couldn’t you just use the Shading Enhancer and Highlighting brushes to get the same effect, perhaps with a little blur brush? Just curious…
Terriffic! Beyond that, I’m out of words. Which is rare for me.
Super as always Saint! Your use of color and your unique illustrative style (not to mention your masterful modeling skills) never ceases to grab my attention and fuel my motivation. I second Ron’s suggestion about a script or a tut. How 'bout it?
Fantastic image. I really like this style.
Fantastic! The ‘Saint’ style works wonderfuly again and again…
Thanks everyone for the comments.
Stonecutter: Your advice on doing the pixie dust is a good one. I’ll try not to be lazy next time.
Ron and Mentat:
I still have to learn how to record a script. It’s not really necessary because there’s really no secret on this piece.
Same is true with all my pieces. Majority of the elements came from a sphere. Didn’t use any third party program. (The arms/legs were created with a cube. (6 sides) It’s all sculpt…, sculpt…, sculpt.
The only thing that I always try to practice is planning carefully my scene. (It’s still a “hit” or “miss” for me.) Sometimes things turnout exactly like what I want them to be. In most cases., ZBrush will just take me into a different direction and it’s always a surprise where it leads me.
Kudos to everyone!
you captured the magic of that moment in that uncompareable style - what a terrific expression! it makes me almost hear those tiny pixiebells… and i’m feeling as surprised as our lil hero!
kudoskudoskudos - i love that incredible painting!
once again you have just floored my jaw… great image…
I dont know anything else to say than except
I LOVE THAT IMAGE !! , beautiful
Saint, which technique (among the many available in ZBrush) did you use to texture the pants? I am currious.
Thanks!
Very nice
Great modeling and texturing

That is Total out and out Magic !!!
Enchanting work !
Mentat: I’m not really sure what’s the texture number I used on the pants in the Materials Pack. I’ll find out as soon as I get home.
Sorry to hear about you jaw dr. jjwow. LOL
And the last word is mine.
Hello my friend!
A lot of very good things to see in this picture!
Terrific sens of forms you have man!
you play a good song with ZB!
I nearly missed this as I’ve not had the time to keep visiting the forum lately. Great demonstration of the possibilities of ZBrush, and an example of your excellent modelling skills. The detail is superb.
