My latest piece … new for me, the inclusion of a bit of Vue Landscape work.
There’s still a few wee touches to do but it’s as good as finished.
Below is the new corrected version more in keeping with my pallette - the others were too dark.

Love the style. The ears flapping in the wind and the tired ‘I cant be bothered’ look. Also the background and the balloon/nut. Just cool stuff.
Thanks for the post.
As allways I love the style!! Great landscape. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

I can spot a Floozy-image from miles. Can’t place a finger on why I like the style so much, but I do.
I do seem to feel that Mr. Pig needs just a tiny bit more light? His expression is so cool, but hard to see.
Cmon Mark… there must be something dangling from the Anchor! Like a teddy bear, or a red hankie…

And nicely done basket! Keep’em coming, Flooze! 50.
Thanks folks - here’s a lighter srgb jpeg for people viewing in Windows.
I’ve possibly made the initial image to Mac friendly and less PC.

Love your work as always. The style just makes me feel good. I think it’s because it reminds me of the illustrations that were in many children’s books growing up. That’s what your style brings to mind, I think. Just very pleasing to the eye, not at all busy, and well composed with a soothing color palette.
Thanks again for sharing. If I had to say anything less than positive, I would suggest toning down the material on the pig and acorn, sort of flattening it. Maybe it’s the specular value, not sure. But I think it would blend a bit better into the background, make it more cohesive.
Then again, maybe I’m nuts. It’s just such a slight thing that I might not be seeing it correctly.
…meditation!
knocked out by your style as ever, you must be getting famous by now.
nice and funny style!
I always love your style as well, in this image the pig is really not working for me, I feel like he is kind of a boring lump, everything else is perfect.
I agree. The background and everything else is near perfect but the pig is bringing down the image a bit. He is the right shade, but there is something a bit amature about him that i just cannot put my finger on.
But the rest of the image is stunning.
Do you have a WIP or tutorial that you have done to show your workflow on your backgrounds??
They are sick!!
Another great post Mark, and you have used vue well. I have vue myself but since discovering ZB I rarely fire it up now.

Thanks again for the kind words - sorry for those that don’t like Mr Pig. However you may be pleased to hear that he soared to a high altitude and jumped. His last words were a eery shreik of …“philistines” before hurtling through the inky void to a better place.

He will always have a special place in my heart.

Hey:
We were missing your art!!!
Look so cool.
Didi you finally sell your last piece of art.
I keep been interested.
Arturo
Booz, real nice image! I feel sorry for the pig, how easy you could make him some wings.
Arturo - thanks, yes I have been selling my prints but so far in the uk only. The cost of international shipping plus the greater chances of damage have made posting further afield less viable at my current prices.
Bas- wings, yes I toyed with that idea, also a noose around his neck, suicide bungee style - now that did look bleak.
Thanks both.
Booz, how you painted those roads, in vue?
My wife demands that Mr.Pig comes back and wears a tiny propeller hat and a blue and white striped t-shirt which he loves so much. She knows by chance that Mr. Pig’s first name is Hubert! And that you just made up his apparent suicide.
