pick color from different images?

Hi there
is there a chance to pick a color in Zbrush from an image, opened in preview or PS? I tried to place the same image in the Zbrush background, but then I will run in a lot of trouble with the object. First I had to move it closer to the Cam, because otherwise it sticks into the image. For that I had to use the transposemaster, because I am working with a lot of high detailed subtools and Zbrush tends to crash in this process. AND by moving the obj closer to Cam, I altered the overall pivotpoint. If I now rotate the object in the canvas, at 180° the object disappear behind the image.
I just need this process for texturing.

Is there a better way?
Thanks in advance.

I don’t have a lot of knowledge with Photoshop but I know with Zbrush you can give it RGB values and it will produce the appropriate color. If Photoshop could provide you the RGB values from the image, you could simply plug them in and get the color you want to paint with.

Load the image into Spotlight then hold down C key to sample the color directly underneath your cursor.

You can use the Image Plane plugin to load the image behind your model (in Edit mode) so that they won’t intersect.

Thanks a lot for all your help.
I found a third way: just ad a plane as a subtool with the stamped/projected picture and the material solid color to the object. Thanks to perfect Zbrush 10.000 polies more or less doesn´t matter. And its just for picking some color for the texturing process, so you can delete it in the end.
I LOVE THE POWER OF ZBRUSH
Thanks a lot.
