Pilou, you are the greatest ‘link-artist’ of the forum. Thanks for all your replies! Keep going!
Genial. Tengo que probarlo.
Hi Bas Mazur
Thanks for the great insides.
This is a technique which I will defenitally look into when I start texturing again. You have one of the most interesting posts here.
Bas, thanks for the giggles!!
Ron, thanks for the pictures of your famous head. Here you go in 3d. I have to work on it to make it all fit but the start is made
that’s such a cool way to work!!! my congrats!!!
Bas, believe it or not you put a good smile on my face…thank you…looking good
I wished I looked that good at the moment…you gave me a smile and I will return the favor with a funny story for the morning…
My wife went to work this morning and her truck broke down a long the way…guy stopped to help us…he lived around the corner from where the truck broke down…it’s the fuel pump (in tank) and he will do the work for 75 dollars…very cheap labor I assure you…so there I am…tshirt, shorts and houseshoes…and I recieve a call on my cell…my wife takes the call…apparently my daughter has worn something to school that was inappropriate and against the dress code at school. So we rush back to the house in my vehicle…aka The Beast… and pick her up a shirt…we get to her high school…finally have them send her back to the office and low and behold she is bewildered by seeing her mother and myself standing in the office…finally we figure out that it was not her that called but my prepubescent girly voiced son…and he is in the building next to the high school…about 300 meters away…so…we rush out (my wife is very late for work at this point and it’s too late to go back to the house for a boy’s shirt)…at this point I am contemplating him wearing his skinny sister’s black shir twith the pink top…my wife growled and said besides, it wont fit him…so…we arrive in the next building and low and behold my son is sitting there with a grin…(he grins all the time…makes me nervous)…and his mother enters the office dressed nicely, and then there is me…unshaved, 300 bloated pounds of sad midlife, blue jean shorts, black 3extra large tshirt and a most comfortable pair of house shoes…the office is full of people and kids…so I look at my son and appraise the situation of why he has been sent to the office…he was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, athletic type with tiny breathign holes in it…apparently the holes reveal the color of his hairless chess in the light …everyone is now looking at my son’s fat father, including all office personel…as I began stripping my own shirt off of my body…I handed it to him as he protested…and he was in total horror telling me, “DADDY there is a restroom I could do this in…” I ignored his pleas and told him to use the restroom to change and get his butt back to class…and to never say I didn’t give him the shirt off my back…and my silent wife opened the door for me and we left the building and the now much very quiet office…
I asked my wife if she thought he would remember this and not break the dress code again…she thinks I made my point…and I got her to work finally…so…
So that is how my morning is going so far…
Now I am going back to bed with my cat till noon…
well I hope you are smiling now…
thnx my friend,
Hahahaaaaaaaaa  This made my day!! I should have been there together with LemmonNade. After it we had a (good) beer in a pub. Your son never will brake the dresscode again!
Hey Baz-
Thanks for showing this process. Your work is consistently textured well.
Just wanted to throw out a feature I personally became aware of only a few months ago for texturing.
When using Projection Master to do any texturing if you want it to fade off at the edges and give you a nice transition just make sure that you set your Tool:Display Properites:DSmooth above 0. It could be .001. This will tell Projection Master to include the normals and fade will work correctly.
Then you will have to clean the edges up less.
Whoa … after years of ZBrushing comes this revelation. I’m dying to get to my workmachine and try it out.
Thanks for the tip
And nice thread

In this case I did not want the fade setting active. The photo of Ron was made with a flash what makes the borders too dark. With blending the colors the dark part should polute the bright side view too much. Anyway thanks for highlighting this!
i couldn’t find the smooth value to adjust… could anyone show me?
Thanks

Hahaha, I had fun doing this. The look-a-like is not 100% because I only used a front and side view.
Haha this is funny!
good work.
