Photo Textured Models..Updated...Mini tut has arrived finally...

Hey all I am still on limited dial up connections and will explain how I did these when I return. Saw a posting by a fellow zbrusher and that inspired these experimentations and also served to show a local friend how it’s done and settle a debate. I will elaborate on that more when I return. But enjoy.

Stock models you have seen before as zombies and madmen…but photo textured this time. Most of these took under ten minutes.

Me…well the model texture is me on a zombie head…took years off the fatman and pounds too…

My own face on a model ends up looking like Captain Picard’s been take ape testosterones…gasperdoochies…

Nice stuff Ron. I thought I recognized that mug shot in the thumbnails. Great to see your work so often up there. Funny, that doesn’t look like a zombie.:+1:

ps:i will give a try…

Looks good, Ron. An explanation of how you achieved the results would be very cool!

Cheers

:+1: , remember the photorealistic style of Marcel  .

PS: Who is the last one guy???

Hi, Ron, nice and fast CableCompany you have. I missed your post for a while!

Hi Ron,
your zwork is amazing…you, and few others, give me the stimulus to do something with Z…

Thanks my friend.

I am back in the saddle and back in business …thank you all very much for the kind words and I will answer questions and give my way of doing this by Tuesday…playing catchup on my email and have family in from Arkansas…talk to you all by Tuesday. Glancing around and lurking via a friends computer I have missed quite a bit of outstanding postings it would seem over the past few weeks. (slapping myself in pennance)
kinds regards,
Ron

The great Ron is back! horaay!

Yeah, he is back. I was concerned about him. Did he catch a too large fish? Did he not want to release his expensive fishing rod? Was he eaten by a zombiefish?

Pilou

thank you all for the kind comments and interest…

Yes I did get to do some fishing while my isp was down…striped bass are running nicely on the flats of the river here…Sauger have also been biting nicely. Since I have been sick this last week to present and probably a few more days…(my wife came home with a bad case of strep throat on top of all the flu we have encountered) so sickness will prevail for a bit longer, I have not been able to go wet my lines…well I added the little tut to the beginning of this thread and I hope it helps take away some of the mystery of Photo texturing…I am sure there are other ways …but this above described method takes less than five minutes to do after your model is in place and ready to be textured…and you can get decent results quickly…you can use it as a base texture and keep on enhancing the image futher in z…like with zbrush, you imagination is the limit on what you can do I think…

night all…I have my tall glass of tea and Dawn of the Dead in the player and taking more meds as we speak…

back to bed for me

ciao

Ron
