Permanently Visible Hotkeys?

After you open the brush palette and press a key to filter the brushes, the next letter you must press to select them is suddenly displayed on the corner of each brush icon.

Is there a way to permanently display hotkeys in this manner, for example: on the commonly used brushes I docked in my custom UI, so I dont have to hover over them to display the necessary hotkey?

Use a macro button with the text you want displayed.

Ah no, my problem isnt that. I already assigned my own hotkeys for common brushes from keys 1 to 7 or such, which helps me avoid macros completely. The deal is: sometimes I forget if my DamStandard brush was key 5 or 6, for example.

So you see, even with macros, the problem is the same, which macro was for which brush? I forget

I’d really preffer Not to use Post-its next to my keyboard or something of the sorts to remind me, so I was hoping I could display the hotkeys for the brushes I docked Not for easy access, but as a remider/indicator of what hotkey I assigned to them in the first place.

Hope I made sense this time

Would be a nice feature, don’t you think?

You stated you had brush icon buttons. Text button with your hotkey in the file name

I’m so sad that’s the only way

You can clone the brushes you use (as a safety precaution) and make your own icons for them as below.

Thanks guys, I guess that’s my only option for now. Hopefully will be a feature someday so it can update whenever you change the hotkey.
