Hello everyone, I will start my own sketchbook thread. Any future work I will post in this thread.
Recently, I put together a portfolio and I would like to get your feedback. My interests lie within video game character art. You can check out my portfolio here: https://patrickkrause3d.carbonmade.com/. If I could get some feedback, I would greatly appreciate it. What do you think about these models? Which models do you think I should display and which ones should I remove? What do you think I can improve upon? What do you think I’m missing? Would say I’m ready to apply at studios, or do you think I need to improve? I look forward to reading your responses.
I will also post images on here as well, but please be sure to check out my website.
Scorpio
Scorpio is an android character conceptualized by me. The character of Scorpio was conceived a long time ago from a dream video game I thought of when I was a kid. I am a fan of science of fiction and I wanted to challenge myself with hard-surface modeling particularly with robots. Thus I decided to work on this creation. Used multiple 2k textures. Modeled in Zbrush. Textured in Substance Painter. Rendered in Marmoset Viewer.
RedRidingHood
Wanted to make Red Riding Hood into a bad-ass wolf hunter. Let me know if I succeeded. Character conceptualized by me. Used multiple 2k textures. Sculpted in Zbrush. Textured in Substance Painter. Rendered in Marmoset Viewer.
Lion Warrior
The model is based off of concept art created by Noho. View this person’s artwork at Nohoart.tistory.com. Modeled in Zbrush. Textured in Substance Painter. Rendered the model in Marmoset Toolbag.
Mega Man-Child
Just a middle aged man who always wanted to fulfill his destiny and become Mega Man! Textured using Substance Painter, modeled in Zbrush, and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.
Zeus
This model is based on concept art made by DoubleLeaf. You can check out his work at this website: doubleleaf.deviantart.com. The goal of this project was to study male anatomy. The project was modeled and rendered in Zbrush.
Scarlett Johansson
This female anatomy study is based off of a character portrayed by Scarlett Johansson from the film “Under the Skin.” Rendered and sculpted in Zbrush.
