Panther Hybrid

This is taking me ages to do so I thought I’d start a WIP thread for this.
I wanted to sculpt a hyrid creature that part wldcat and part man. The weight of the wildcat anatomy is slightly more as I wanted the character to utilize the agility etc of the animal. The brute strength and muscular anatomy would then have humnistic qualities to it.

Right now I’m at a cross road with the legs.
Which one should I go for guys?

Your input would be greatly helpful :D.
I hope Cesar sees this :D.

pretyy cooll for now:eek: …waiting for how it will look later…how much time did it take till this long:p

Almost there with the anatomy.
Some areas need more refinement.
Suggestions are most welcome!

Nice! Looks good. The upper body anatomy looks weighty and powerful…I think you nailed the look there.

The abs may be a bit too defined, maybe push those back into the torso a bit more. The legs could use a bit more definition as well…they look underdeveloped compared to the upper body.

Solid stuff all together.

great model :+1: :+1:

Another small update.
Worked on the legs and up’ed some muscle definition.
I think I’ll start adding some more skin now over the muscles.

Worked on the head a bit.

Here’s another update.

Working on the hands. Still a little weak on the landmarks but trying to get there.

The padding on the wrist is alittle too big, also working on that.

dude,amazing model:eek: …wat tool do u use to smooth it out man…and wat r the no.of polys in zbrush…:stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks neozarahan :).

I’ve used the clay, claytubes brush with smoothing and subtractive sculpting.
The main body mesh stands at 8 million polys. Zbrush is crashing beyond this unfortunately. Would’ve loved another level.

Glad you like my stuff :).
Thanks

ok i might be buggin u:rolleyes: …but can u tell me wer to get the clay tube brush…

It should be there in your brush palette. Its a defualt brush I think. Should be next to the clay brush.

Added some details for skin and paws etc.
Also refined the head and skin.

wow Wow WOW !

great updates Khurram . The Mat version looks cool ! ! . :+1:

Are you planning to do fur as well ? .

How did u smooth out your model still retaining all the details ? . I usually struggle a lot with smooth brush as it eats up a lot of detail you put in .

would love to see him posed . :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Hasnz!
I plan to add fur in the later stages. I figured not adding it would take away a strong characteristic of the species. I’d ideally want to add scars and tribal tattoos on him but my current level is’nt allowing much detail and the app is crashing if I go up a level.

As for the details, I’m using the clay tubes brush for major landmarks and muscle groups and smoothing out some areas while keep some prominent. I’m also using leather and bumpy skin alphas with the inflat brush on stencil and scatter strokes and smoothing them out. You’ll find that this adds roughness to the somewhat smooth surface we usually get in earlier stages of modelling.

Its a trial and error process. Still have a lot to learn :D.

Here is a pose that I’m working on;

Starting to look good, keep it up!

Thanks Mike!
Jason: Haha! Thank you.
Neozarahan: Thanks man.

Made another pose here so confused as to which one I should go for.
Ears are tricky  .
