Paintshop_4R6 Upgrade Needed soon and other questions.

My question is: Will there ever be an upgrade of Paintshop_4R6 to include the following:

  1. Ability to resize canvas after you’ve started drawing/painting a project.
  2. Ability to select, copy, paste, resize, and flip(horizontally or vertically) any parts of the drawing.
  3. Or any other great ideas to be use by us artist.

Also, When shall we be expecting a new updated version of Zbrush from 4R6 P2.
Wishing for a way to make multiple subtools with variable levels of transparencies with their own properties.
Wishing there was a way to create real looking water, fire, glass, diamonds, with clicks of buttons.
Wishing matcap can use lightcap properties simultaneously. I notice matcap properties cancel out lightcap properties. :frowning:

I love this Zbrush software so much for it’s abilities and ease of use. Keep up the good work Pixologic. My expectation are for greater things to come with this software.

That’s a fairly big wish list you have. What’s Paintshop_4R6, is it a plugin for ZBrush?

one day we’re going to get every feature we ever wanted and then there’ll be nothing to do because everyone can make anything with just a thought. i wish zbrush could just scan my brain and render what i’m picturing. one day, that’s going to be real.

Thanks Doug. I didn’t know we had that facility.

YW, lots of features to explore

the only thing I really want is to have Materials that that can emit a glow. one that acts as a true light source. Why should we have to look for 3rd party render software to show off the beauty of our models. It would be awesome if Zbrush was the only package we needed for a single render. I’m sure brush will get to this point. We have been given so much since 3.1. I have high hopes for the Zbrush 5. 64 bit would be great, but I want real glowing materials more. I don’t think we should have to purchase Marmoset just to get a great render.

Yes, it is a plugin. I love it. I draw portraits of people with it.
Select Document from the Menu
Select PaintShop from the submenu
Click on the PaintShop button to launch the program.

It’s not PaintShop, it’s PaintStop.

Gridlost, I totally agree that there need to be a true light source. And, not have to go out of Zbrush and into other 3D rendering software to get the results we desire. I don’t want to spend most of my time learning other software when Zbrush may be more than capable of doing it. Hope developers at Pixologic feel the same way. We are just venting our desires as a wish list.

Doug Jones, I looked over the document for PaintShop plugin and it doesn’t contain the info I need. Maybe in the future someone at Pixologic will have the desire to modify this program a bit. Right now, you can copy a tab and paste it. But, not like cropping out a portion and pasting it within the current document or a new one while it resides in the clipboard memory.

Zeddie, let’s keep hope alive. LOL Scanning brains is a big stretch for now. Yes for the future.

Totally, I will remain hopeful about Zbrush’s next upgraded features. In the past, I was wishing for a way to create stands of hair and they created Fiberbrush. Love it.

Zber2 were you trying to say, “It’s not PhotoShop, it’s PaintShop”?
If so, I do understand completely. I was just putting it out there.
I thought Pixologic would appreciate us giving some input on our desire within programs to make workflow better.

I mean no harm. Just have desires for an already awesome program to become better for those who use it.

You keep calling the plugin “PaintShop”

The ZBrush plugin is called “PaintStop”.

Zber2, LOL I got it now… Why on earth was I seeing PaintShop and not PaintStop. OOOooo weee

Forgive me Zber2, I got it now. LOL
