Painting with a texture

Hi all!

A long time ago I watched a tutorial on taking a skin texture and use it like a brush to paint on the model in Z. I just can’t seem to remember how this was done. As I recall the drag rectangel was used to draw bits of a texture but that texture was feathered in Zbrush somehow and I can’t get that to happen in 3.5.

Any help on this would be great!

Import the texture in question into Zbrush, and apply it to the selected brush as a texture. Select the Dragrect or the spray stroke type for a more randomized application. The default alpha type in 3.5 (alpha off) has a strong radial fade like you want, but you could also select any other alpha there for a different effect. Make sure RGB or MRGB is pressed on the top shelf with 100 intensity, make sure Zadd/Zsub is off. Turn Polypainting on (Polypainting>colorize), and ensure the mesh is divided enough to hold the detail. Paint, enjoy.

Superthank´s Scott!

I got some funky white edge but i figured out that I had to have the focushoft right…
