Paint on Flat UV's in Zbrush 4r4

As the title suggests - is there an easy way to paint on the flattened UV’s in 4r4, as if when the Morph Uv button is pressed.

I’m actually trying to paint a repeat texture for the fabric of the object - similar to how the noise/alpha repeats across the UV of an object.

Yes, you can do it using Projection Master. Your model must have a texture displayed on it - polypaint will not work. Flatten the UVs, turn off the floor and polyframes, and then press ‘G’ to enter Projection Master. Use any of the 2.5D painting methods to paint your texture, then press ‘G’ to pick up from Projection Master (making sure ‘Colors’ is selected in the options).

For best results you need to use a texture map of sufficient size to capture the detail you want, then make sure your document size matches the texture size so that before entering PM you can scale the model to fill the document. That way you won’t lose any quality with your texture.
