Paint Multiple subtools at once?

Hello

This is my first post on zbrush, i have a problem thats been grinding me for days…

im actually making a boot in zbrush and texturing it, so i have the top and botton of the boots as seperate subtools, iv applied the seperate textures to each but what i wanna do is drop to canvas with projection master and blur the seams a bit so there isnt a visible seam. I can drop to canvas and blur them fine but when i pick up they revert to the original state.

So my ultimate question is can i paint on 2 subtools at once?

The reason im using 2 pieces is because im importing into second life and they need to be 2 sculpts to get the detail… just incase you were curious

Thanks for any replys in advance

No, there’s not a way to do that. However, you could pull it off using ZAppLink. Basically, you’d use ZAppLink to send your model to Photoshop. There you’d paint what you want. Then not only save your work but also make a copy of it.

Return to ZBrush and apply the changes. Being careful not to move your model in any way, select the other subtool and use ZAppLink again.

Back in Photoshop, paste in the copy that you made and merge it down to be the active layer. Return to ZBrush.

All done!

Cool thanks a lot for the help man
