Output multiple levels from Decimation Master?

Hi all -

Is there anyway to generate two versions of a decimated mesh that have matching UV’s, but different final res?

I’m just starting to work with Decimation Master to output hi-res meshes to render in Vray - (avoiding the problematic displacement/normal map process right now) It works great, but this creates a new problem for me: not having a lo-res version that is low enough to import for painting in other apps.

What I have been doing up to now is exporting a hi and lo-res .obj from my working Ztool. The hi-res gets used via a Vray Proxy, and the lo-res I use for placement and also for texture painting in external programs etc. Now that I'm trying DM I no longer have a real "low" lo-res mesh, just a much smaller hi-res mesh :) Sometimes I can paint it in Zbrush and then it's fine, but when I can't and need to go elsewhere I need a second and much more lo-res version of the decimated mesh, but that has matching UV's to my hi-res decimated mesh. Thanks in advance b

Maybe I can ask this another way:

If I pre-compute a mesh two separate times, will it generate the exact same result each time? If so then I can compute and generate a mesh at, say, 40% and then do the whole thing again and generate a mesh at 2% - and they would have matching UVs, so textures could be shared between them?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Is this a dumb question? tried the manual and googling/searcing - honestly
