It’s my fault, I have not taken the real name so you can’t find it
Sorry :o

The Video
The JOT program :+1:
Sorry it’s only for PC

Wow Frenchy!!!

That’s just blown me away!

I’ve just watched the vid, it looks awesome.

Thanks for that, and all your contributions to this thread, I don’t know what we’d do without you here.:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

BTW, I’ve just given this thread 5 stars, I can’t believe I’m the only one to give this a rating!!!

…it’s just for my pleasure :sunglasses:
Tell me if you arrive to launch it !
I have some prob with it

Resolved!!!
You must install the folder jot at the root of your disk C and not somewhere else!!!
For mysterious reason it want just that
so only
rem *** Change this to root install location ***
set JOT_ROOT=C:\jot
and the shortcut command
C:\jot\batch\jot-config.bat

Have fun with JOT

And of course you can make the same with a lot of Models :+1:

Frenchy mentioned World Machine some time ago, but I think it deserves more attention.
I am a complete novice with this program (I only found it about 2 days ago), but look at what I’ve managed to produce in that time:

Here’s a view of its programming interface, an iconic representation of an underlying data-flow model:

Here’s the link: http://www.world-machine.com/

This is from the free version, which limits the scale of the output. Of course, one can generate a b&w “heightfield” and bring that in to ZBrush.
Here’s a decidedly underwhelming example of that, but it proves it can be done:

…because I have not this version!
THx for the reminiscence :sunglasses:

Petr TYGLIK has made 2 scripts for transform an object format OBJ to JOT format :craqueur:
(this object must have only “triangulated facets”)
One for the Moment of Inspiration (the amazing new Nurbs modeler) many thx to Sigue 2000:sunglasses:
The other for Blender
All that works like a charm !

Some notes:
ResetView (focus on WYSIWYG window) Press “Shift+V” after you load particular jot file from within jot-cmd window. It adjusts camera so you can see all objects placed into the scene.
Creases: You have to reveal the creases. Select object and go to NPR Stroke editor(Line mode editing)->Mesh tab->Adjust “Crease Detect Angle” slider appropriately->Press “Regen. Creases”
Render image: Press “g” key when WYSIWYG NPR window has focus on. Alternatively, you can type “grab [scale-factor] [filename]” in the jot-cmd window;
Render mode menu: Press “Shift-M”. Just press Shift-M once again so that it can disappear.
Keyboard commands: …\jot\manual\pdf\jot.pdf - page 44
Command line: you can handle a scene via typing commands in the jot-cmd window, i.e. hide/show object, rename object, list objects, delete object and so forth. For details on it, go to kyticka

It’s a free Toshop!
PaintNet :sunglasses:

…is released always free :sunglasses:
Astonished videos :grimacing:
Styles, Photo Match, Sand Box are present in the free version
So watercolor or markers are possible

paint.net microsoft BOOOOO!

free Sketchup, google yeah!!! I’m not a lawyer, but it looks like there’s an important difference in the free version too. Free version 5 was limited to non-commercial use only, but it looks like version 6 is not limited like that.

While I was searching the web for clay sculpting tools I came across this free modeler.
http://www.ppmodeler.com/

I searched here and saw it mentioned once and not in the free bee section.

…yet speak of it somewhere
Maybe it was under an another name or more probably given a direct link without name

WICKED COOL…
Damn I love this program…
I wish I could be student to have more time to practice it…

But I dont see the version 6 download?

http://sketchup.google.com/download.html

huh? There’s a big button that says “Download Google SketchUp 6”

Don’t hesitate to see Videos 4 & 5 & 6 :+1:
:warning: Video 6 : function Layout is only for Pro version :warning:

That is what we can name “A PROGRAM” :grimacing: :+1:
The only default is for the moment the not exist “OBJ” import

Thx pilou!

(french had no version 6)…

I love its intuivity…

That would be so cool if zbrush had a simple base modeling modul like that…

Ya Sketchup is awesome… desigers use it at my work to comp game levels with… I went through the tutorials one morning and was loving it comfy in it in an hour.
