Hi Guys. Quick question regarding setting up my sculpt for 3D Print. I’ve got the sculpt finished ready for posing, but he is made up of quite a number of subtools. Now, do I need to remesh and project back the details into combined parts, or can I leave the subtools separate so long as they are all touching and watertight? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
depends on the printer.
Some require a single mesh others are fine with inner penetrating volumes.
main thing for all is non-manifold errors.
Some companies calculate the volume for each mesh and quote you based on that, so your quote will be higher than the actual material used, good companies will give you back the difference.
