Optimal Texture Resolution for Exporting Maps from zBrush

I know the answer is probably obvious here, but I’m going to ask, anyway, since I’ve had conflicting information.

Is there any benefit to exporting a 4K map from a 4 million polygon tool?

From my understanding, poly count=pixel count as far as ZBrush is concerned.

I only ask, because I saw a model for purchase that said it was a 4million poly model with 4K maps supplied.

So, is there a benefit to exporting at a higher res than your polycount?
