Welp, I’m still finding myself maneuvering around this whole limited memory usage that Zbrush 4 has going. Please upgrade that Pixologic! But since there seems to be no usurping the problem, I would like to know how best to optimize my model so that I can get the best detail work into it but also not crash Zbrush because it’s over the polycount limit.
Is there an approximate spectrum within which I should keep my model’s polycounts? I’ve read somewhere that 13 million was a good number. And just so that you know what I’m aiming for I’ve loaded up an example image of the level of detail I’m shooting for.
- And on a random note, I’m really wondering if this whole Zbrush 4 memory limit gig is just a type of designed obsolescence for the public market? Hmmmmm…
