Open edge geometry

Hi,

I have problem with subdivision on open object edges.

For example I have a cylinder with no caps so both ends are open. I hit ctrl+D and add subdiv levels and then my geometry will get smoother, but at same time my open edges also moves!?! Is there any way to hold them where they are?

ZBrush subdiv and 3ds max/Blender subdiv doesn’t mach together and it’s :confused:

you can creases the open edges, just press the crease button under your tool>geometry on the lowest subD and it will automatic crease all open edges… The edges are still slightly moving when subdividing, but not so far than before, dont know a way to totaly stop them m0ving around…
