I am on a windows 7 pro 64 bit system.
When clicking on any of the open, save, import or export buttons, Zbrush will lock up or I should say time out.
How ever, GOZ and lightbox work fine.
I believe it is a permissions issue, but I can’t track down whats is doing it.
If I run in admin mode the dialog boxes will open. However, it is on a fresh boot of windows. If zbrush times out, then I try admin mode, zbrush will still time out.
What do I mean by lock up or time out?
When clicking on an I/O button, I will wait say 20 to 30 sec. while a circle mouse icon is displayed. I then click on the background UI of zbrush once or twice and the screen will go white with a dialog box asking if I want to wait or close zbrush. finially windows checks for errors, and I just click the cancel button.
This started back at version 4.0, I was able to fix it by changing the permissions to have access to read/write. As each progressive update came, I had to redo, this permission, to get it to work correctly. And now on this last version, It refuses to work correctly.
I have been putting it off, as goz is working fine, and that’s what I needed, but, it helps, if I can access the dialog boxes for I/O.
The thing is, I haven’t seen anyone else with this issue. So is the issue with my system, or do I need to do a reinstall?
