You can use masking, polygroups and visibility to section off parts of your subtool for editing. However, there’s a problem with my subtool where even though the entire subtool has no mask, the same polygroup, and is fully visible, only certain vertices react to be stroked or transposed. It’s a low poly subtool mainly created with a primitive cube and ZModeler. I’ve tried the ‘check and fix mesh’ buttons under Geometry and tried duplicating the subtool in case that fixes it, but it hasn’t.
Any ideas? I can’t move this subtool without it distorting all over the place.
Edit: DynaMeshing or ZRemeshing my subtool fixes this odd issue, but now the topology has been altered naturally. I’m going to keep looking for another method to fix it.
Edit: Subdividing the subtool adds some edges to it, but it doesn’t appear as a new subdivision level, wierd.
