One Shoe

Long time lurker, 1st time posting. This is a quick 3D concept I did to test some of the new features of Z3. I also wanted to see how one of my 2d characters translated to 3D

Here is the original character painting. Yes he is bald now I am still trying to master “Hair”

It’s looking really good!

I would say later on when you get to the final touch ups, give him the tilted jaw look he has in the picture. Also the hair looks like it’s a very strong part of him that gives him characteristic along with the tilted jaw.

The shirt you can add more details by making it look older adding holes, scratches, etc. Don’t forget about the shoe lace hanging from his only shoe.
It’s looking really nice and cool!
Great work!

Javier Loredo.

welcome a very talented artist!!!

Nice work, love the shoes, how much more do you have to do to it or are you done with this as a test?

NICE WORK AND CONCEPT. Are you going to add some of the mouth asymmetry?

Great stuff, hope to see much more from you. I love to see
what zb in talented hands can do!!

He’s incredible-What a treat for sore eyes , thanks !
Can I ask how you started him(base mesh),and the inner mouth area~subtolls or is he one piece ?

good! :+1: good! :+1: good! :+1:

Very cool character. I do think the sketch has more impact, I like the bigger feet and hands. I think they add a lot to the character.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words ands crits!I had not planned to go further but it seems like people would like that so I will try to give it some more time this week.

Javierloredo- I agree with all your crits and I plan on adding them. I most definitly will be adding the shoe lace. Everyone loves the shoelace

askue- I thought I was done but lets keep exploring. I should give it some textures and color too

calum5ZB- glad you like it. I started by taking the SuperAvgman low and modifying it in 3DSMax. I like doing the Superdeformed caricatures so I made a base mesh to support that for the body.(I would really like one day to be adept enough in zbrush to eliminate that step) The head I started with a basic sphere and modeled it out. There is a ton of subtools in this model. It’s a feature I absolutley love in Z3. I have been trying to see if there was a way to collapse those subtools to one model that could then be imported as a subtool in another mesh but I have not found that. (For example making the head a subtool of the body mesh) I will post some more pics later to show more of the process

womball- Thanks for the crit. I will explore the idea of bigger hands and feet and post some pics. See if it works better. Z3 makes that kind of experimentation easy
