Concept Art by Massive Black Art Book
Render pass made in Zbrush with new BPR render.
The new version of zbrush is amasing ! So I’ve try to make a character see in the massive black art book.

Nice work man! I really like the final result of your character. However, I think the lower back needs some attention. I can’t see a proper form of his erector muscles or a proper form for his pelvis (specifically his iliac crest). Nevertheless, great job.
indeed really good,
my only critics are:
-> the bootle need more reflection/detail, it looks like it is made of plastic,
you can render in a diferrent pass with light cap reflection (great results with hdri :D)
-> the hair looks like it is made of hay, it is too thin, try making the “bpr filter radius factor” higher for the fibermesh (this you find in the bpr pallete)
cya!
Hey, McAllem, thanks for your replies i’ve lightcap reflection, good result for skin, but not for metal.
Do you know how to make faster a new pass render ( assign faster a new material with reflection on all subtools ?( Mine have polypaint )
And something like object ID pass to separate subtools in Photoshop with the reflection pass ? …
Hi aurfax, thanks for comment, perhpas could you have a better view of his body with this render pass :
I like you picture but I have a couple of suggestions: the first is the hair on his chest. Up close, it looks like fur. I suggest that you thin it out a little so some skin shows through and maybe curl the hair a little. The second is his left arm. Something doesn’t look right with where the muscles come together at the bend of his arm.
so what you could do is render everything like you just did,
THEN -> you can change the specular settings of the light cap (add an alpha to it for example and ajust the falloff) and make the whole scene looks like it is made of glass.
You then render the scene with such configuration to get the exact material and shadows for the bottle,
AND -> you render the scene one more time but this time just with the bottle, with no shadow, just to get the alpha pass zbrush creates.
later in photoshop you will add these 3 renders, but for the scene with the specular you will erase everything but the bottle using that alpha you just rendered out too.
hope i helped.
And i agree with LD, the hair on the chest looks like fur, you could try making it a little curlier too
