I was diggin up some old drawings I made a few years back, (WAY before the Z)
and I got inspired to remake some using Zbrush.
This is what I got so far…
Who doesn’t know The Sandman Neil Gaiman and Dave Mckean?
The nice thing about making a work about Sandman is that you can depict him in very much every style without hurting the general idea of him, or losing his essence.

I love the concept sketch Bimm, but somehow you lost the spirit of it in the transition. It looks like you have the basic idea but it needs more work on the 3d end to pull it off. dont stop now !
Thanks Tartan, but actually I wasn’t really going for a remake. I was using the old sketch to inspire me.
You are maybe right that it still isn’t finished. I worked on it some more, giving it a bit more drama, or anyway making a bit less static, without having to sculpt everything anew. But I don’t think I really turned out better.
I have to put it aside for a few days. Better to look at it fresh. That’ll give me some new ideas, I think.

That monster-rabbit looks very cool! It has quite a cartoony look already. I’d lower the glossiness a bit maybe. Those baby-bunnies are really funny in the sketch, I would love to see them just like that in Zbrush!
