Very Good Renders David! I love this stuff!!! :+1:

wow! those last two renders looks supernice! How did you bake the matcaps?

Thanks! I made a tutorial on page 8

Thanks for the tut! Those last renders are beautiful!

Absolutely brillant Lil’ sister

very well done, thanks for sharing the tutorials man.

Hi David!

really amazing but it would help to see something little slower and maybe to know which subdivisons and tools=)

really good=)

Very nice head modelling, really perfect! And thanks so much for your tutorials…
Especially, zapplink-matcap bake tut. is very useful

Lovely work - but wanted to ask about the tutorial at the end. I’ve tried this method several times and in each case found the end result has been far from good - when I bring the views back in from photoshop and bake them onto the model - the end result looks pretty poor - with numerous sections where the textures have over-written each other creating seams, ugly bits and so on.

(as in the attached example). Looking at the tutorial bake it seems much cleaner - with problems only around the ears as opposed to the rather more noticeable mess ups in mine.

I’ve got fade checked and was wondering how you managed to get a comparatively clean texture map - or if there was a lot of behind the scenes clean up so to speak?

I can get a material out in the old displacement/alpha/material way - but I find those lack the lighting information of a zlinked material grab - and I’d love to find the best way of getting a workable texture this way!Example.jpg

Hi David, MASSIVE fan of your artwork. Really nice head sculpt! Love the renders! I have watched some of your timelapse vids and it looks like you use a brush which is like the decobrush only you can use it without projection master? Is this possible? I would be really interested to know

I think you are refering to the lazy mouse

What is it with Canada and its abundance of fantastic artists like yourself? Is it the climate or the food?

Seriously though, I have learned so much by watching your time lapse videos and for that I am in your debt.

Thank you for sharing your talents and knowledge with us.
