Great first post! Funny – I´m drawing a concept sketch for a character with a lantern at the moment. I´ll post it tomorrow or saturday. But don´t worry… it´s totally different from yours.

Great work!

Thank you Moni-Poroni! I look forward to seeing another model with the same subject!

It seems that two images weren’t uploaded correctly, so I try again :

Fantastic, great style! :+1:

toinedek - Beautiful style you have here. What is your background? Did you study sculpture?

I hope you continue this scene and included a really dynamic windy scene with leaves blowing around and tree branches creaking on a stormy autuminal night. Really can’t wait to see where you go with this.

Hi Toinedeck! Great start, lookin’ forward to seeing him textured! :+1:

Hey, this looks cool. I like the flatness you have given to some of his planes. Killer boots too

Hey toindek!! I m glad you post at last!!! Great work and gesture sensibility.
I love the stylisation and design. The boots rocks!
The love the way you sculpt his wooden rod. Perhaps the rod section could vary in width to make it more organic like wood…^^
The coat falls are really convincing too.
Keep posting man!!
I will soon to ;)!:+1:

Hey man!

Amazing work indeed, love the style and the details!

I have a few suggestions but disregard them if you haven’t done them yet:

-I think the body pose could support the face expression more. I think the glazed expression does work and is great, kinda gives him that “crazy or knows something we don’t” expression. Maybe some asymmetry could help.

-The pose from the front I really like, but the side view not so much. My suggestion would make him walking, weary and slowly, like he’s going somewhere that’s beyond “our world”, always straight ahead. I think that would support more his expression.

These are just my opinion, not things I think are wrong, ignore them at will :). Again marvelous piece!

cheers!!

GREAT STYLE
i love everything about it  :+1:

Haha I dig the style!!

Congratz!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you all for your comments!
I have plane to rework on it in a few times and maybe to render it textured. It is a shame, everything is quite ready, but for the moment I haven’t the time…

Leehand> Yeah maaaan! Really thank you for your support, I look forward to seeing your next work! You are right, the rod may need a few more work, it is too thin and straight for the moment…

Scottleroc> No, I didn’t study sculture, but I’d like to! I just had the chance to work with talented artists who learn me a lot. I study anatomy in books and, since a few weeks draw weekly, in a life drawing session, it is really helpful (Thanks Graham!).

Nice image. It tells a story. I would like to see the finished pictire

This is Blou, he has been made with Maya and Zbrush, he is from Paris, where he lives in the submay.

I like your eagle man a lot. I get an Egyptian God vibe from him.
The only thing I’d change is his beak. Right now, it looks more like a pigeon’s than an eagle.
Very original design though.

if i can advance a little observation, the eagle lacks a bit of detailing in the skin part, but not sure if this is a choice of yours to leave it very smooth. the props look really cool, did you obtain them extracting parts of the mesh?

LIke the concept of the beak guy. But his beak needs some highlights, or some shineyness to it.

It is tough to see the “lips” of the beak and whatnot.
