Basically, I want to know if he looks ‘right’. I’ve tried to get proportions right, and I think I’m on the right track, but I think it’s missing something.
Any crits would be most helpful.

Very nice indeed! You’re right, something is missing maybe, but what… Just some suggestions coming from someone who certainly isn’t an expert:
- maybe lower the tip of the nose a little: distance nose-mouth is rather big.
- not sure about the form of the eyes… too round??
- maybe add some flesh to the forehead wrinkles?
