Old Colossus

This is part of a project im working on for uni loosly based around the recent comiccon contest, also aiming to use hand painted textures on this

at the stage where i need to start thinking about a retop becuase the neck and ear area are a bit broken

yer so looking for any advice or crits on the project cheers :smiley:

update - got the shirt done and detailed the body some more- i think im going to start retoping to make the low poly mesh unless anyone can see any problems or possible improvements

ok retopping is done and the low poly mesh is made, and it comes in at a healthy 11790 tri’s, which is under the 12k goal

ok i rejigged the low mesh, got it down to a healthier 10538 tris, and the poly flow is much better - got the unwrap done and have baked some normals heres a quick test render of the normals on the low mesh

ok progress below is viewport grab of the model using the xoliul shader, with just normals, base colours and the start of the texturing

the only bit im really happy with is the belly atm…:stuck_out_tongue: this is my first proper attempt at doing a hand painted character, so any help appreciated
