Oksoko avarsan

Welcome prehistoric almost-bird!

Oksoko avarsan is one of type species - Oksoko is a genus of oviraptorid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of Asia, that lived in what is now the Nemegt Formation in Mongolia. They had small front limbs, functionally two-toed, because the third finger is strongly reduced, that is, it is another step towards the evolution of birds.

The main reference was a sketch by Michael W. Skrepnick - Three individuals of Oksoko avarsan.
