odd material assignment

Something weird is happening when i try to switch materials on my model. When i try to switch everything changes like expected except for two parts on my model which is not making sense because its one mesh. any ideas why not all of the model isn’t being effected? Just to show you what i mean i posted a screen shot. as you can see everything is being effected except those 2 parts.

I would guess you at one point have used Color > Fill Object. The Draw > MRGB / RGB / M switches determine what is filled, i.e color, material or both. So you have probably filled with a material at one point.

The filled material is stored together with polypainting so you could turn off Tool > Polypaint > Colorize or press Fill Object with the Flat Color material selected, which will reset polypaintings material index .
