OBJ UV Help

Hello all, I’m new to the forum and to zbrush.

I am having trouble with my UV’s.

I build a base mesh in maya, UV map, then export as an OBJ.
I then import into zbrush and start to sculpt, I then proceed to attempt to create a normal map; However the normal map selections are “Greyed out” or unable to be selected.

I do know that this indicates that there is no UV map.

so my question is why is there know map when I created a uv map in maya before exporting.

I have been able in the past to do this successfully, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

any help would be great.

Sounds like you need to change your settings in Maya to export out UVs

I have been searching for anything related to preserving uv’s for export in the export selection menu. I can’t seem to find anything. What am I missing?

don’t have maya in front of me right now.

what happens when you use goZ?

I have been unsucessful in getting the goz function to work at all.
