I’m trying to export a mesh to an obj from zbrush to maya so i can fix some things, then export it back to zbrush so i can do a bunch of sculpting on it. when i open the obj in maya it’s in about ten pieces. how do i stop the mesh from being split so i don’t have to worry about retoping and merging when i put it back into zbrush?
in the Export pallet there is a button labeled Grp if pressed it will export poly groups a separate objects.
Also, in Maya when you import the model make sure under import options box to select the type as Obj and uncheck Create multiple objects.
