.OBJ Export Problem

When I export a obj file it saves it in the folder I choose as .mtl with a bmp file along with it.However there is a .obj file in my ZBrush Main dir folder after export…

When i take the .obj file that was exported and showed up in the ZBrush folder and try to import it into LW there is no proper texture with it…

Process…

1.chose to export
2.file saved in “X” folder
3.“X” Folder shows it as a .mtl format with a .bmp attached
4.There is an exported .obj in my ZBrush folder insteed of “X”
5.But theres no texture…

I thought that the texture was automaticly exported with the OBJ, but if not, just use the Export button in the Texture Palette. :slight_smile:

Yes I guess there is a texture with the OBJ in my ZBrush file but why do i get the mtl file and bmp file when i export to a dif folder than ZBrush…

But the exported obj is still going to the ZBrush Main folder

Now…Zbrush resides in one volume (OS9)
& LW on another (OSX) this shouldnt make a dif but im dazed…
Just concerned about writing such large files to the Main ZBrush folder and having to move them (MAJOR FRAGMENTATION)

Does either the path to ZBrush or the save directory have a “.” in it?

Ive emailed to pixolator this querry cause i just did a defrag and just moving this file in the way it’s been exported is really BAD

Well I seemed to have figured out that for some reason saving or exporting to a dif volume than the one that ZBrush resides on just doesnt seem to work…

However if I export and save to the same volume all’s fine… :slight_smile:

Still waiting to here from Pixolator on this one but I guess once ZBrush goes OSX this point would be mute…
