OBJ and ZSPHERES help

I was reading somewhere about where you can import an obj file (as these are sometimes not of high polycount an sometimes more triangles than one whats) and insert a Zsphere and then make a unified skin and that this was able to get rid of the triangles.
First is this correct? and
Second if it is correct what are the steps in doing so - or a link that shows how
Thanks

Any links?

You can turn any mesh, triangles or otherwise, into a unified skin by just drawing out your mesh, hit edit and then set your parameters in the Unified Skin subpalette of the tools palette and finally press “make unified skin” (see pic). You may want to eventually retopologize, however, since the unified skin can’t predict how you want the layout to be optimized for your modeling purposes.TESTTRISUNIFY.jpg

You would associate a zsphere to the mesh for retopologizing, which gives you the advantage of placing the polygons you draw in the best alignment for further modeling and animation. Read up on zspheres and retopology on the documents or by searching on the forum (restrict your search to the period since the release of verion 4.0 so you don’t get confused).

Nancyan thank you for your help.
I got to making a unified skin and this took care of the holes in the import obj - when I did a geo divide the model came apart.
So, I guess the retopologize will allow me to goe divide up the mesh?
The next is gather the info on Zbrush 4 zspheres and retopology.
Again thanks for your help
