Woah I havent been tracking this thread over the weekend, too busy refreshing the dominance war home page :frowning:

Here is a base texture I have done. I’m going to keep working on her untill CeBit starts. I wouldnt mindsome tips on hair… I need to change it.

I fixed some things that were bothering me, her legs were bowed! So I unbowed them a bit. I think I need to unbow them some more though O_O!
And i lengthened her nails and fixed her haed a bit, but forgot to do the back part. Will have to get onto that after lunch ><

Sence I’m here anyway,
I can’t say She deserves top row, but it looks like u’ve put some effort into her…I think she needs more, I’m sure someone else will disagree…it doesn’t matter…it was never my point.
U know Your mistakes,…n yes the eyelashes look like they’ve been accedently trimmed n r just growing out, but that’s a small thing…u already know what to do about it…
it’s the ear u didn’t mention, look at it again…her legs too…
It looks like she decided to get rid of her bones in that area 'cause she didn’t like’em!
the upper leg…thigh bone is longer then that…but look at the overall proportions…don’t go making them longer…take a step back u’ll realize the problem is in lower leg…the shine.
Those r the problems that need to be pointed out…the rest i’m sure u already know and don’t need help with…
As 4 the base texture…
Alright…i admit…nice start, but the…or is it the shader that has more orange in it?

Anuxinamoon: You are truly a pro. With all the pressure of two silly wingnut guys typing crazy in a box, you didn’t bat an eye once. In fact you said it helped. Lol. That’s a switch! Hey, toprow’s not such a big deal anyhow. Being famous, isn’t so heavenly either. Talking with a few stars briefly, they’re just like us. People are happy or sad with or without money or fame. I like your last render, but I’ve just noticed the ears. It seems like they need to be more seperated from the head a tad. I like the face though. She’s very cute.

Sid, I’ve fixed a few things you have mentioned but am busy on trying to get the skin right. I realised my monitor at work colour is off. On my monitor it looks a heralthy pink but when I view it at home its orange D: Its really pissing me off.

Wish me luck. Hopefully when I get there I can spend 30 min sorting out my monitor to match the stupid colour setting :frowning:

Don’t go making her pink either!!..Balance her colors, skin has yellows blues pinks reds and grays, even greens n browns…white girls aren’t pink…they also have different skin tones as white, so pick the one look u like best,… know what colors u’ll use, know how u’ll apply them…throw all that in the back of your head n start working-------> not until u fix the monitor!..

Yup she kinda looks like that. I’ll have to double check when I get home on some real monitors though :stuck_out_tongue:

I doubt these monitors will get fixed in time but I will put forward a request anyway.

Well I spent most of the day doing her hair. Ugh hair is really tedious. I’m planning on doing more strands so her hair doesnt look like a mould.

I havent had time to change anything I wanted to fix today. Hopefully I have time tomorrow. Stupid monitor shakes fist

i really like this so far, shes very cute, which is nice compared to the t&a i see here.
to me, her ears are a little flat to her head, also slightly too tall, even if they are correctly proportional, to the eye they seem big. lastly the bridge of the nose seems to wide, but i have seen people who look like this. all personal preference, so don’t take too seriously.

it would help if u stoped worrying, n worked more…intuatively.
what i mean is u have to get the look u want from ur first try, nd it has to be easy, hair always looks more natural when it’s been done …Easy…intuativly…
second nature…if my english was perfect i would’ve explained it better but I think ur smart enough to get what i mean.

What you say is true SIdi. If you have to force a certain element of a model (or any artistic project for that matter) it’s usually not as worthy as it could have been, in the end. It’s the ones that just pop out “intuitively” as you put it that tend to look the best for some reason. Perhaps, that’s the moment when the ‘left brain-right brain’ decide that they want to be harmonious. lol. Sounds like you know quite a bit about pre-planning your painting. I could definitely learn from that.

Anuxinamoon: Monitor calibration. What a pain in the rear that is, eh?. Lol. Everything looks great to me. Looks like you worked a tad on the ears too.

Hi everybody, Nice thread over here, lots of talking and personal issues.
I’m also a newbie in Z, but I understand the female anatomy.
I dont think the girl looks sexy. It’s more like the girl next door. It doesn’t need to be a playboy girl, I dont like that.
But if you make the waist a little bit smaller.
Make her neck a little longer.
Make her legs longer, en her ankle thinner.

About the face, well looks at the most beautifull girl you know a try to see why she’s so pretty for you. And than copy those single facets.
I beleve the the space between the eyes could be a little bit more defined. a wide space looks a little non female. Try to sharpen the nosebone with you’re pinch brush, and look for a different angle for the nosetip.
Her ears need some attention. And her chin is a little too sharp. But hey what you made so far… I cant do it…yet.

I stoped though about 4 years ago…that had an effect:D
I only do it for the love of it, it doesn’t mean anything if there is another reason.
maybe that’s why I stopped.

Woah so many comments <3 thanks guys.

I had to rework her face because they wanted it to look more like the model, so I changed a few things and changed her hair (its still being worked on though) cause it looked poo.

She looks a bit better with make up and I have to leave her face now cause its moved on in the production.

I did change her proportions a bit too. Her groin was a bit to high and i widened her hips a tad to suit the model.

Sid: I saw the female you were doing (I looked at your recent threads ;)) and its really good. I hope I can get that good soon :smiley: Need lots of practice! <3

Wim: I looked at your alien too! I will post in your thread about ways to help your material problem :slight_smile:

The ears look a little better now, although I’d probably do a little more. That could simply be the angle you have her at too. Could you post a front shot? The last one is slightly turned. Also, I wanted to ask what you’re going to be doing with this model. Is this for a movie?

SIdi: The art devil hits me all the time. Doesn’t really hurt. Maybe my head is just numb now from all the excessive hits to the noggin. LoL. Then again, maybe the art angel beat the art devil out and that’s why it’s not so painful. :rolleyes: :lol:

Cool then, SIdi. I’m sure there’s some things you’ll be able to help with. Maybe I’ll post my current model and see what I need to do with it. I think this is the best one I’ve made so far, and the hands are at least decently made this time. It probably has some crazy edge loops in spots, but they don’t seem to give me any problems so far. I’ve already put her to the test and morphed her completely male and did some things in other apps. Could definitely use some refining though.

Wim: A little chit chat here and there is okay. Fortunately Anuxinamoon said that it was good motivation. I guess the old saying goes “all work and no play… etc,etc,…” I was concerned with how far it went for a minute but to busy to worry after. I guess that’s the personal issue you meant. Hey, I posted something in your thread.

.The face starts to look more human. If its the purpose to let her look so mean you’re doiing a good job, if not, you should give her a bigger uperlip. Try not to bring the mouth like this in a reverce v pose.
