So my old motherboard burned out and I replaced it. All the other hardware is the same. The trouble is, ZBrush no longer starts up. The icon appears in the taskbar, but nothing happens beyond that.
Any ideas? I’m contemplating a reinstall, only I don’t seem to have the installer file for 3.5 anymore. Argh!

Odds are that you’re running Windows 7 or Vista, and the Run as Admin setting needs to be activated again. Right-click on the ZBrush application and choose Properties. Then go to the Compatibility tab and check the option to run as administrator. (That should be the only thing turned on.) Then click Apply and close the window.
That did it. Also, the 3.5r3 update fixed the issue completely.
