not enough ram for generating texture from polypaint.

hi all, im kind’a newbie here so excuse me if i posted at the wrong forum.

my froblem is this:
i have a 17M model and i’ve been working just fine, but when i try to make texture from polypaint, zbrush creates a weird texture and later it says that there is not enough memmory ( zbrush isnt using all my ram resources) and crashes.

i’ve tried to create the map from 4096 to 512 and still have the same problem.

i’ve got like 15 subtools and they thogether sum 62.799 M polys, i dont know if this is causing the problem.

my performance preferences are default and the max polys per mesh is set to 21M (zbrush default with my system)

system:
12gb ram and dual quad xeons E5630 2.4Ghz

thanks in advance

What UV mapping is applied to the model? If the mapping was creating in ZBrush, is it one of the tiles types? If so, how many polygons was the model when the mapping was created?

Hi aurick, thanks for repliying.

the uvs where created with uv master, and the low poly object has 233.000

i know is too high (i’v read the uv master manual yesterday late) but the plug managed to get nice uv’s

maybe is that the problem?

I have another problem sometimes I make texture from polypaint and ZB does but, the texture looks moved and colors changed with big rectangles why Is the reason?
