Not blurring Dynamesh

I am wondering if there is a way to, at least for now, turn off the default setting that always starts with the Dynamesh blur set to 2? I am working these days on making Mechs and mechanical parts. Every time I start a new ZBrush session I always have to go through the added step of setting blur to 0. I like being able to have that blur setting. And I know there will be times that I will want to use it, but for the foreseeable future, is there a way I can keep the blur off and it to remain always at 0?

Thank you.

Not that I am aware of. It’s the default on a subtool by subtool basis, not a program wide basis. You simply have to reduce it prior to dynameshing, and it should stay at that value for that subtool through subsequent dynameshing.

For what it is worth, I also do a lot of hard surface work and don’t find the small default value to have any noticeable impact on form as long as Projection is turned on. In fact, when reducing the value to zero occasionally I start to see artifacts along crisper edges. I prefer it on.

Thanks for the tip. I love your work, by the way. I’ve been watching the J. Drust dynamesh tutorials where he sets the blur to 0. But I will run some comparisons – as you suggest-- as well. It looks to me that, in general, one can’t set internal numbers (customize) to default to a different setting. But I was checking that too.
I would love to be able to internally set up the camera and rotation for animating a movie playback. But there too, I can’t seem to find a way to set my chosen parameters so they remain at my new settings.
